Nadi Airport

The Nadi International Airport is located just a 20 minute drive from Nadi Town and Denarau Island. As passengers descend into Nadi they can see the vast Nadi Bay with its Mamanuca and Yasawa islands on one side, and the lofty Nausori highlands on the other. This is the main international gateway into Fiji and used by thousands of tourists each year as well as business travellers to the region. There are two runways, the main runway lying parallel to the beach of Nadi Bay, and a shorter cross runway.

The airport is comprised of a two-storey building in an L-shape, with domestic arrivals and departures at one end. Next to that is the International check-in area, with security gate through to immigration and then upstairs to the departure gates. On the other wing is found the International arrivals hall, arrivals concourse with shops, hire car offices, tour desk and cafes. Buses and taxis are available outside the building.

Close to Nadi International are many good airport hotels. There are also a number of resorts located in the area as well as luxury accommodation provided by Denarau Island resorts. Down by Nadi Bay, especially the Wailoaloa Beach area, there is a lot of good backpacker accommodation also.
